Series 1

The US released their Series 1 in a promotion that ran from March 29, 1989 to December 31, 1989. The Kolorkins were described as:

Each Kolorkin was free with 10 points from the proof of purchase of various Kodak products (at least one proof of purchase had to come from Kodak film), or $9.95 without proof of purchase, plus $2.50 postage and handling. The promotion was supported by advertising in the Quad City Times and the Times Sun from April to June.

Promotional merchandise included a coloring book and a set of pins.

Series 2

Two years later, a second promotion with three new Kolorkins ran from May 1, 1991 to December 31, 1991. They were described as follows (note that Rewind is described as "red"):

Each Kolorkin was free with 10 points from the proof of purchase of various Kodak products (at least one proof of purchase had to come from Kodak film), plus $2.50 for postage and handling. The promotion was supported by advertising in the Sioux City Journal, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Sunday News, Central New Jersey Home News, Miami Herald, and the San Francisco Examiner-Sun in May. A second series of ads ran in the Arizona Daily Star, Austin American Statesman, Dayton Daily News, Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Kingsport Times, Quad City Times, Rapid City Journal, Rutland Daily Herald, Tampa Bay Times, Billings Gazette, Charlotte Observer, Daily Breeze, Gazette Sun, Greenwood Commonwealth, Indianapolis Star, Kokomo Tribune, Leaf Chronicle, News Leader, Palm Beach Post, Sacramento Bee, Spokesman Review, and the Times Tribune in June.

Beanies

A series of three winter sports-themed bean bag Kolorkins was offered in the United States in 2000. They came in white (Flash), pink (Star, US Ski Team), and black (Shredder, US Snowboard Team).
